Class Details

Is your teenager looking for something fun and inspiring to do over the Summer break? Look no further than this course designed specifically for teenagers wanting to learn to cook! This class is all about vegetarian cooking – with a fun dessert thrown in at the end! Whether they’re new to cooking, wanting to try something new, or come with some experience, this class is sure to be packed with nuggets of cooking wisdom all designed to boost your teen’s confidence in the kitchen. Vegetarian cooking can sometimes feel uninspiring and unhealthy, as if every dish ends up being pasta. Well, this class is here to teach your teen new vegetarian recipes that are quick and achievable, without any spaghetti in sight! We’ll be making recipes that will introduce teens to certain basic skills, such as how to properly chop an onion, all the way to slightly more advanced techniques, such as the perfect Bechamel sauce. With a variety of recipes specially chosen to introduce teens to a range of flavours and methods, they’ll be sure to come away with bags of enthusiasm and confidence to continue their culinary journey at home. I can cater to most allergies and food preferences, so do let me know in the booking form. What you will learn: • Seasonal Soup • Parmesan Straws • Perfect Roast Potatoes • Cauliflower Cheese Gratin • Tomato Caprese Tartlets Demonstration: • Jaffa Chocolate Orange Self-Saucing Pudding At the end of each class, we will sit down together as a group to sample everything we’ve made with some refreshments and discuss more recipes or go through any questions the students might have. They will be able to take home their baked goods to share with family and friends as well as recipe cards so that they can successfully repeat the dishes in their own kitchen.

Cancellation Policy & Allergy Information

Cookery Clubs will do everything it can to reduce the risk of any students consuming an allergen that could cause an allergic reaction. Please contact Cookery Clubs to discuss any severe food allergies prior to booking a class online, we must speak to you before you visit the school if you have a severe allergy or severe dietary intolerance. We will become as flexible as possible, where we can remove a specific ingredient from a student’s recipe we will but we are unable to remove that ingredient for every student attending. We handle all types of ingredients in the JW3 kitchen, and we are not able to be a completely allergen free environment. The JW3 kitchen is multi-purpose therefore this makes the kitchen unsuitable for those with life-threatening allergies, in such cases as these we would suggest getting in touch to arrange a private lesson in your own home with Anastasia. Please contact Cookery Clubs at CookeryClubsUK@gmail.com for more information. In the unlikely event you are unable to attend the class you have booked and need to cancel your booking, for a full refund Cookery Clubs will require your cancellation via email no less than 5 days prior to the class. Once we have received your cancellation, we will arrange a booking onto an alternative class date or a full refund, sadly we are unable to make changes to bookings or offer a refund with less than 5 days before the date of your class but we are happy to switch the names on the booking so a family member or friend can take the place. Cookery Clubs reserves the right to cancel any class, in such circumstances you will be offered the choice of an appropriate alternative or a full refund. Attendees under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
